You can redeem 50% fewer points by using the Shopping with pointsfor any travel purchase.
CIBC Aventura Points Redemption Process
All you have to do is:
- Book any travel on your credit card
- Select the travel purchase in your credit card transactions
- Select “Redeem with Points“.
Usually, this option is not very advantageous as it allows you to redeem 8,000 points for a $50 statement credit (a value of 0.625 cents per point – while we value the Aventura point at 1.2 cents):
