CIBC has sent out a promotion to lucky Aventura credit cardholders to earn 50% more points when they travel.

CIBC has sent out an email with a special offer for select CIBC Aventura® Credit Card holders. These people can earn 50% more points on their travel purchases!
To take advantage of this offer, you must click on Activate offer in the e-mail.
The cards included in the promotion are:
For example, you will earn with the CIBC AventuraMD Visa Infinite* Card :
- 3 Aventura Points (instead of 2) for every dollar spent on purchases at the CIBC Rewards Centre;
- 1.5 Aventura points (instead of 1 point) for every dollar spent on eligible travel.
This promotion allows you to earn up to 5,000 additional Aventura points, from the moment you activate the offer until August 3, 2024.
Please note that to obtain the extra points, the expenditure must be “charged to the account” by the deadline and not pending in the transactions.
Eligible travel purchases charged to the CIBC Aventura Cardholder’s account are as follows:
- Airline ;
- Train, bus and cruise ;
- Car rental ;
- Hotel ;
- Resort ;
- House rental ;
- Cab and limousine ;
- Carpooling ;
- Public transit (suburban or regional).
