The Cathay World Elite® Mastercard®, powered by Neo has been available since fall 2023 for Canadian travelers thanks to the new partnership between Neo and Cathay Pacific, replacing the former partnership between RBC and Cathay Pacific. Here are the benefits available to cardholders.
Cathay World Elite® Mastercard®, powered by Neo
The annual fee for the new Cathay Pacific co-branded Neo credit card is $180.
As this is a Mastercard World Elite premium card, the minimum income required to subscribe to the card is high:
- 80,000 in annual personal income or;
- 150,000 annual family income.
There’s also a card available for newcomers to Canada with guaranteed approval, no credit history required.

As a new cardholder, receive a welcome offer of up to 30,000 Asia Miles. The miles are distributed as follows:
- 15,000 Asia Miles once the card is activated;
- 15,000 additional Asia Miles after $3,000 spent in the first three months following card activation.

Earn Asia Miles on all purchases charged to your Cathay World Elite® Mastercard®, powered by Neo. Specifically, you will earn:
- Up to 5 Asia Miles per dollar spent at Neo partners in Canada;
- 2 Asia Miles per dollar spent on online reservations with Cathay Pacific;
- 2 Asia Miles per dollar spent outside Canada;
- 1 Asia Miles per dollar spent on all other purchases in Canada.

Bottom Line
The Cathay World Elite® Mastercard®, powered by Neo replaces the former co-branded card with RBC which has been discontinued. This new option allows Canadians to earn Asia Miles and fly to Asia at low fares with the Cathay Pacific Asia Miles program. Unfortunately, this card is not available to Quebec residents.
