World of Hyatt has announced changes to its program that will take effect on January 1, 2024. Here are the details.
Milestone reward levels
In the World of Hyatt hotel loyalty program, you can earn :
- points,
- a status,
- and Milestone Rewards.
Milestone Rewards are awarded on the basis of eligible nights completed or Base Points earned in the same year. Here are the new reward options for each Milestone:

All in all, these are positive changes, since they give you more options to suit your preferences. We can say that the rewards have been improved in a way, particularly at certain levels, such as the 40-night or 65,000 base-point threshold, which has seen the addition of the “Guest of Honor” reward. What’s more, additional reward categories have been added for Milestones over 100 nights.
Guest of Honor award
The “Guest of Honor” award allows you to experience the benefits of Globalist status during a stay without necessarily having this status, or to offer this experience to another person.

This reward can therefore be applied to you or another member on eligible stays paid for with points, rewards or cash for a maximum of seven days. If you decide to offer the reward to another member, you’ll get a credit of one eligible night as a thank you.
Opportunities for travel professionals
These changes are aimed at travel professionals who organize meetings and events, business travel or who act as travel professionals.
Meeting and event planners:
- Earn 2 qualifying night credits for every 5,000 USD of eligible spend, up to 150,000 USD or 60 qualifying night credits that will be counted towards achieving status.
- From 2025 onwards, the number of qualifying meetings in a year will no longer count towards tier criteria.
Travel professionals:
- Earn 2 qualifying night credits for every 5,000 USD spent on eligible room rates at participating hotels and resorts by booking via Hyatt Privé or directly via Hyatt and adding your IATA and World of Hyatt numbers to the booking. Up to 150,000 USD or 60 eligible night credits to be counted towards achieving status.
Bottom Line
