To the point AIR MILES Collectors can now collect and redeem miles by booking a Jetlines flight through the AIR MILES booking site.

Days after the announcement of Loyalty Ventures’ bankruptcy and BMO’s acquisition of AIR MILES, the rewards program adds Jetlines to its flight program.

You can earn up to 200 miles per reservation. Here are the details on how to earn miles with Jetlines based on AIR MILES status:

Type of flight Blue status Gold status Onyx status
One-way Domestic flight (Canada) 25 38 50
Domestic round trip flights (Canada) 50 75 100
One-way International flight 50 75 100
International round trip flight 100 150 200

To earn miles on a reservation with Canada Jetlines, you must book through the AIR MILES flights platform and pay with a credit card.

If you wish to redeem your Dream Miles for a flight, you can do so from the same platform. For example, a round trip from Toronto to Las Vegas on the weekend of May 12-14 would cost you 1,818 Dream Miles and $200.80 in fees and taxes.

The future of AIR MILES

AIR MILES has been in the news repeatedly over the past week, and even in the past few months after the announcement of its departure from Sobeys and IGA grocery stores, among others. Now that we know the program is not going away, this announcement gives you more options to use your miles, or collect them. Check out our recent articles on AIR MILES news:

Bottom Line

After the uncertainty of last week’s news, this new partnership solidifies that AIR MILES will not disappear from the rewards program landscape. It will be interesting to follow the evolution and possible changes to the program in the coming weeks and months.
