This policy is now aligned with Air Canada’s Maple Leaf Lounges.

As a reminder, you can access Air Canada’s Maple Leaf Lounges or Air Canada Cafés in different ways:
- Aeroplan 50K, 75K or Super Elite status
- Star Alliance Gold status
- Business or Premium Rouge travel

Aeroplan Elite Status Changes - Lower Requalification Select Benefit
Starting January 1, 2024, rather than reducing the thresholds of SQMs and Status Qualifying Segments (SQSs) required for requalification, Aeroplan members will receive a one-time bonus of 5,000 SQMs and 5 SQSs.
So, if you select this new privilege, you’ll get the bonus right away, which will count towards your threshold-related gifts and eUpgrades.
This change brings greater flexibility, although some may prefer the old system.
