This interactive map from Air Canada finds your future getaway by trip interest, date, budget and departure city.
This new search feature is designed to make life easier for those looking for inspiration for their next trip.
Interactive Search Map
Results are returned in Aeroplan points and dollars and search options include such as :
- Departure city
- departure date with flexible date options
- the budget amount
- the travel interest (Outdoor, Urban, Luxury, Beach, Historic Site, Romantic or Family)
- and class of service (Economy, Premium Economy, Business)
With each data entry, the card instantlydisplays destinations and fares that match travel preferences.
Aeroplan Members can also view flights in Aeroplan Points. Just click on “Prefer to view prices in Aeroplan points”? , below the map .
You can see at a glance all destinations and results according to the chosen criterias.
This Points Finder Tool is currently in beta version. It may have bugs before the final release of the tool. For my part, I have not encountered any, even after several searches.
Conclusion
To get an idea of prices or Aeroplan points for a given date, a search with this map gives a good overview.
One of the shortcomings of Air Canada’s main search function is that you have to do one for each destination. With this new tool, you have an overview of several cities and their rates at the same time.
