They sell grocery items purchased from wholesale suppliers. The products available are always a surprise because they may have :

• Label, packaging or manufacturing defects
• A best before date approaching
• Unsold or “downgraded” (because it doesn’t meet general standards)
• Made in surplus

Since grocery product arrivals are unexpected, many people use Facebook pages and social networks to promote these unexpected items.

The trick to taking advantage of good discounts is to compare with other discount grocery stores like Dollarama or Walmart. What’s more, it’s highly advisable to check expiration dates before buying. Consult the MAPAQ guide for food storage times.

The vast majority of the time, you’ll have to go to another supermarket to complete your purchases for the week’s meals.
