I preferred to keep my points and pay for my stay with my Marriott Bonvoy™ American Express^® Card given the rate I got.

The Sheraton Mexico City Maria Isabel Hotel is located on Reforma Avenue in the Zona Rosa district. You can reach many tourist areas on foot.

When I checked into the Sheraton Mexico City Maria Isabel Hotel, I was upgraded to a suite. The lobby is imposing, and there are plenty of areas to relax or work near the bar.

I gave my Marriott Bonvoy™ American Express^® Card as collateral and to pay for my stay there. With the Marriott Bonvoy™ American Express^® Card, you earn 5 points per dollar for all your spending at Marriott Bonvoy hotels.

This is the best credit card to have if you stay at Marriott Bonvoy hotels frequently.

As the room is a suite, it is divided into two parts.

The lounge features a sofa bed (ideal if you’re staying in Mexico City with children or friends). A large desk also takes up space in this room, next to which are a connected speaker, a mini bar and a TV.

In the bedroom, a king-size bed takes its place (it may seem cramped). Here, too, we find a mini-bar with TV.

The suite has two almost identical bathrooms with bath and shower.

A pleasant rooftop terrace is complemented by an outdoor swimming pool (unheated at the time of our visit).

Without a doubt, it’s one of the most excellent hotel gyms I’ve seen in my many photo reviews! The appliances aren’t new, but they’re varied!

For tennis fans, it’s possible to practice the sport directly at the hotel.

The Sheraton Club, the hotel lounge reserved for Elite members, was closed at the time of our visit. Instead, breakfast was available in the hotel restaurant.

Breakfast takes the form of a rather varied buffet: chef-prepared omelettes, quesadillas and other Mexican dishes, and much more. I particularly liked the Muesli!

If you prefer, you can have breakfast directly on the terrace, which is very pleasant!

The cost is $345 MXN per person. Complimentary for Platinum, Titanium and Ambassador members (gratuity only).

If you make purchases in the bars and restaurants of your hotel, do not forget to charge these expenses to your room bill. So you’ll earn up to 17.5 points per dollar based on your Marriott Bonvoy status!

In Mexico City, in 5 nights, I toured 5 Marriott Bonvoy hotel brands: Le Meridien, Sheraton, The St. Regis, and The St. Regis. Regis, JW Marriott, and the W.

At first glance, I wasn’t sure what I was going to find when I booked this Sheraton. The Sheraton brand strikes me as the most outdated of the 5 brands tested, and hotels often need updating.

Marriott Bonvoy recognized this and set about renovating most Sheraton hotels around the world (one of the first examples is the Sheraton Grand Hotel Dubai, which Audrey featured here).

Of the 5 Marriott Bonvoy hotels tried in Mexico City, the Sheraton Mexico City Maria Isabel Hotel strikes me as the one that ticks all the boxes:

• A rooftop pool
• A great gym
• A quality breakfast
