Porter Airlines continues to expand its North American network with the addition of two new routes from September 2023.
The airline recently ordered 50 new Embraer E195-E2 aircraft, considerably increasing the size of its fleet. Over the next few years, Porter’s ambition is to serve :
- Canada from coast to coast
- the United States
- Mexico
- and the Caribbean.

New Toronto-Victoria route

As of today, this new route between Toronto-Pearson International Airport (YYZ) and Victoria International Airport (YYJ) can be booked. These flights will start on September 20th, 2023, with a daily round trip. Here are the details:

The schedule is designed to allow connecting flights to Montreal, Halifax, Ottawa and St. John’s.
Porter Airlines offers an enhanced economy-class experience. Passengers will enjoy a range of on-board services, including complimentary snacks, beer and wine, and free Wi-Fi for all.
For example, a round-trip flight from Toronto-Victoria from September 23th to 30th costs $475.94 with the PorterClassic Basic fare. This fare does not include cabin or checked baggage.

New Toronto-St. St. John's route
Porter is also adding service between Toronto-Pearson International Airport (YYZ) and St. John’s International Airport (YYT) in Newfoundland. The airline was already present in St. John’s since 2009 with its older aircraft, the De Havilland Dash 8-400. Operating Embraer aircraft on these new routes will considerably increase passenger capacity.
Daily flights between Toronto-Pearson and St. John’s will start operations on September 6th, 2023. Here are the details:

As an indication, a round-trip ticket from Toronto to St. John’s on September 7th to 11th would cost about $395.49 with the PorterClassic Basic rate. As in the previous example, cabin baggage and checked baggage are not included.
