NBC Rewards points are flexible and can be redeemed as needed. The options are for :

If you have been a National Bank credit cardholder for some time, you may have noticed some changes. They have not been announced but here they are more officially.
Travel with points
Redeeming your points for travel is the best redemption value for NBC À la carte Rewards Points! Nothing has changed on this front.
To redeem your NBC Rewards points, you need to log in to the NBC À la carte Rewards portal.
- À la Carte Travel Agency, powered by Transat: You will be able to book a trip with your points (+ additional cash if required). The redemption rate is 10,000 points per $100.
Plus, you’ll earn more points per eligible dollar of purchase when you book a package or airline tickets directly online with À la carte Travel.

- Statement credit: Redeem your points for a travel expense (hotel, transportation, car rental, etc). 12,000 points for $100 credit (or travel rebate). If you redeem 55,000 points or more, the ratio drops to 11,000 points per $100 credit.
The travel credit will be applied when your next statement is issued.
Points for merchandise and gift cards
More than 1,000 articles are available and added according to the seasons and the following themes:
- Gift cards

- Sports and Leisure, etc.
Recently, new categories have been added, including:
- Eco-responsible (carbon credit, reusable bottle)

Points for financial products

For a value of $100 for 12,000 points:

- Paying down the principal on your line of credit or mortgage
- Paying your bank charges

Travel expenses
With the National Bank World Elite Mastercard, you are entitled to travel reimbursement.
With this card, you can get travel credits:
- $100 credit for airport parking
- $100 credit for baggage fees
- $50 credit for seat selection fee
Previously, you were required to upload your account statement as proof when requesting a refund.
Now the process is simplified. Simply enter the amount claimed, the transaction date and the description of the charge. A handy counter also shows the amounts already paid out and the amounts remaining.
