Kananaskis Mountain Lodge, Autograph Collection Hotel Review
Kananaskis Mountain Lodge, Autograph Collection is a popular hotel for the milesopedia community visiting the Banff area.
Rated Category 6 in the Marriott Bonvoy program, a one-night stay costs between 40,000 and 60,000 Marriott Bonvoy points.

I was able to take advantage of an excellent rate traveling during COVID-19 of about $250 per night, I preferred to pay for my stay using my Marriott BonvoyMD American ExpressMD* Card. So I got 5 Marriott Bonvoy points per dollar for my spending at this hotel.
Kananaskis Mountain Lodge, Autograph Collection is set back, and is ideal if you want to feel a bit far from the rest of the world. It takes about 50 minutes to get to Banff and 1 hour and 20 minutes to get to Calgary International Airport (YYC).
Kananaskis Mountain Lodge, Autograph Collection - Lobby
After parking, we arrived at the front desk of the Kananaskis Mountain Lodge, Autograph Collection.
We immediately notice (and love!) the warm mountain-type decor.

On the lobby level, you can access the Kananaskis Nordic Spa. Make sure you book a spot in advance. At the time of our visit, it was full.

Kananaskis Mountain Lodge, Autograph Collection - Room
Before arriving at the Kananaskis Mountain Lodge, Autograph Collection, I chatted on the Marriott Bonvoy app to get an upgrade, highlighting my Elite status.
From a standard room, my reservation was upgraded to a one bedroom loft with two queen beds. Perfect for this trip to the area with a friend.

The terrace of our room did not offer the most beautiful view, however.

Logs are available to light the fireplace, which is nice in the evening!

As a welcome gift, since I’m a Marriott Bonvoy Elite member, we had a bottle of red wine.

On the first floor, there is a bedroom with 2 queen size beds.

Kananaskis Mountain Lodge, Autograph Collection - Bathroom
In the one bedroom loft, there are two bathrooms, which is perfect for families.

Kananaskis Mountain Lodge, Autograph Collection - Gym and Pool
Kananaskis Mountain Lodge, Autograph Collection has a large aquatic centre, mainly family-oriented, and slides at the pool.
Adults can enjoy a large indoor/outdoor whirlpool.

The gym is next to the pool and is rather small, especially during COVID-19 with limited access.

Kananaskis Mountain Lodge, Autograph Collection - Game Room
Another good point for families: Kananaskis Mountain Lodge, Autograph Collection has a gaming room on the same floor as the pool.

Kananaskis Mountain Lodge, Autograph Collection - Breakfast
Breakfast is served in the Kananaskis Mountain Lodge, Autograph Collection restaurant, which has beautiful mountain views.

Because of COVID-19, service is done exclusively at the table. And the food is particularly tasty!
As Platinum and Titanium members, we could choose several dishes for free.

The hotel also has a convenience store where you can have breakfast.

Kananaskis Mountain Lodge, Autograph Collection - Restaurant
Kananaskis Mountain Lodge, Autograph Collection is a remote hotel, so eating at the restaurant is one of the only options. The ambiance was great and the food, too.

Kananaskis Mountain Lodge, Autograph Collection - Surroundings
A one-night stay at Kananaskis Mountain Lodge, Autograph Collection is too short to fully enjoy it. I recommend staying at least 2 to 3 nights.
This hotel was only a stop for us before going to discover Banff:
